Position Information Join the Lubbock District Maintenance Operations Office as a Transportation Engineering Technician and play a key role in delivering critical maintenance projects across the district. This position supports the development of maintenance projects from concept through design by assisting with engineering analyses, preparing plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) packages, performing drafting and design calculations, and developing maintenance plan documents. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers to prepare project deliverables, review plans for accuracy and compliance, and utilize design software and drafting tools.

Performs basic design work and calculations. Performs field work; uses automated systems. Design activity is overseen by a licensed professional engineer or registered architect who has final approval authority for projects. Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.Experience: TET I: No experience required. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related College education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
