Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation is looking for an outstanding Transportation Driver to join our team of healthcare professionals. Candidate must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

This role is vital to our residents' well-being, health and safety. The Transportation Driver is responsible for transporting residents to and from appointments in the community using the Mecklenburg Health & Rehabilitation’s branded van. Must be comfortable working with the elderly and disabled and have excellent customer service skills. Must be punctual and professional.

Responsibilities include:

·Transports patients by assisting patients in and out of vans/vehicles; lifting patients on and off beds; moving them to and from special service and treatment areas, using wheelchairs or moveable beds.

·Communicates with outside entities with excellent customer service.

·Comforts patients and their families by offering support and encouragement; being punctual and attentive to procedure schedules; demonstrating caring and sensitivity.

·Transports equipment and supplies by picking up requisitioned orders; delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.

·Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with federal and state legal regulations.

·Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

·Handle sensitive patient information with proper respect or privacy.

·Ensuring all residents have a safe transportation experience.

·Engage in training upon hire and ongoing to ensure up-to-date knowledge of current safety practices.

Job Requirements:

Current valid driver’s license with no serious infractions.

Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.

CNA certification is required. Experience in customer service, transportation and healthcare are preferred. Training will be offered on-site regardless of level of experience.
