Join the growing Transport team in PwC Ireland's Government & Public Sector Consulting practice, to help reimagine transport services and deliver on the major investment programme that’s already underway. As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and shaping the strategic direction of PwC's transport practice. You will lead complex programmes that will deliver lasting improvements for citizens, and contribute to environmental goals. You will bring deep knowledge of Ireland's public sector and political context, exceptional stakeholder leadership, and a proven record of successful delivery in complex, infrastructure-intensive environments.
Purpose-Led Work You'll Be Part Of
As aDirector, you willleverageyour influence,expertiseand network to deliver quality results for Transportclients while driving business growth for PwC's broaderGovernment & Public Sector team. You will:
Business Development & Growth
Lead Transportaccount growth within G&PS go-to-market strategies
Identify,developand convert new business opportunities in key accounts
Lead end to end business development cycle, includingproposal development and client pitches for major transport clientcontracts
Achieve annual business development and managed revenue targets
Expand PwC's presenceacross theTransportmarket and in specific disciplines that underpin it.
Client & Delivery Leadership
Lead, and have overall accountability for, large-scale transformation programmes fortransportclients
Oversee the development and implementation of future-state operating models, procurement strategies,operational effectivenessplansandadjacent advisory servicesfor priority clients
Ensure delivery of high-quality outputs aligned to client expectations, projectgoalsand PwC standards
Apply and champion project management and change management methodologies across transformation initiatives
Collaborate with clients to co-create solutions that address complex organisational challenges
Drive benefits realisation and sustained value creation across engagements
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Build andmaintainstrong relationships with senior transport sectorstakeholders and decision-makers
Anticipate stakeholder needs, pre-emptivelydeveloping and discussing potential solutions
Navigate political and operational complexities with confidence and credibility
Facilitate stakeholder engagement at the most senior levels
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentorand develop teams of Senior Managers and Managers
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment
Maximise transport consulting opportunities by working with the widerPwC firm
Recruit andretaintop talent with public sectorexpertise
Contribute to the overall capability development of the widerG&PS practice
Your Profile
Required
A recognised University Degree with 10+ years' experience in management consulting or senior public sector roles, particularly in theTransportsector
A strongtrack recordin business development, client relationship management and winning major transport or infrastructurecontracts
Strong commercial acumen withdemonstratedability toidentify, shapeand convert business development opportunities
Deep understanding of two or more of the following capabilities: Operating Model Design, Public Sector Procurement, Transformation Delivery, Programme Management or Change Management
Knowledge of the challenges the Transport sector isfacingin the context of the widerIrish government agenda
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience navigating political and operational complexities at senior levels
Proven leadership experience managing and developing diverse, high-performing teams
Preferred
Master's degree,MBAor relevant professional qualification
Existing network of senior relationships across the transport and/or broaderpublic sector
Experience delivering complex transformation programmes
