Transport Coordinator | Metroll Pakenham

Metroll Pakenham is seeking an experienced and detail-focused Transport Coordinator to oversee daily transport operations and ensure safe, efficient, and on-time delivery performance across our busy manufacturing and logistics environment.

This is a key operational role responsible for coordinating loads, managing schedules, supporting drivers, and ensuring full compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and load restraint requirements.

You’ll play a critical role in keeping our transport network running smoothly while delivering strong customer service and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Planning, creating, and allocating daily outbound and inbound transport loads
• Optimising load consolidation and vehicle utilisation while meeting delivery priorities
• Managing daily transport schedules and adjusting for operational changes or delays
• Coordinating closely with warehouse, production, drivers, and internal teams
• Ensuring full Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and HVNL compliance across all transport activities
• Monitoring driver fatigue, hours, and rest breaks to ensure compliance standards are met
• Overseeing correct load restraint practices in line with national safety guidelines
• Acting as a key contact for customer delivery enquiries, updates, and issue resolution
• Providing proactive communication on delivery status, delays, and schedule changes
• Managing transport documentation, manifests, purchase orders, and buy-in tracking
• Supporting incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
• Building strong relationships with internal teams and external transport partners
• Supporting continuous improvement in transport efficiency, cost, and service levels

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in transport coordination, dispatch, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Strong understanding of CoR, HVNL, fatigue management, and load restraint compliance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and planning
• Proficiency with transport systems and Microsoft Office
• Calm, solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork mindset with a proactive and accountable attitude
