Job Description

We are currently seeking a Transport Administrator to join the Central Transport team based at our head office in Bedford, MK44 3JZ. This is a full time, Monday to Friday, office based position.

This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Central Transport team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while delivering high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

The salary for this position is £28,100 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle general correspondence and administration for the transport team, including suppliers and yards.

• Maintain and update central vehicle and plant records, ensuring accuracy across both paper and computerized filing systems.

• Manage incoming telephone inquiries and direct them accordingly.

• Raise and process purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner.

• Collate and order stationary supplies for the team as needed.

• Assist with various administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the department.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in an administrative role or similar automotive environment.

• Strong administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing demands and work flexibly.

• Full, clean driving license.
