Job Highlights:
St. Louis University Hospital is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Transplant Pharmacist Specialist to join our team! This unique role offers the opportunity to serve as the sole transplant pharmacist specialist, providing direct impact and leadership within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
Our transplant program services kidney and liver transplantation with an average of 9-10 transplants per month. In this position, you will work closely alongside an experienced Nurse Practitioner, transplant surgeons, and medical residents, contributing to patient care through medication management, immunosuppression optimization, education, and clinical decision‑making. This role offers an opportunity to participate in both acute care and ambulatory transplant services.

Optimizes patient care by promoting rational, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy by developing and providing clinical services in their area of expertise. Conducts drug therapy monitoring, drug formulary reviews, and makes pharmaceutical interventions with the goal of reducing adverse events. Educates and trains pharmacy staff, pharmacy residents, students and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate for the site.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
