Job Designation is Hybrid and will require 3 days a week working in the office. Two days working remote.
Position is in Tulsa, Oklahoma, however, we will also consider placement in our Austin, TX or Corpus Christi Office, TX.M-F, OT possibility but minimal. Travel is 10-20%
Travel consists of transmission line or station site visits and open houses. Area of travel may include Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Must be comfortable and have experience driving for long hours and flying for travel if required. Overnight stay 1-2 nights is possible. Once a month evening hours could be necessary for Open House.

​What You'll Do:

  • This role is responsible for coordinating the siting studies for electric transmission line and substation projects and securing state regulatory approvals.

  • Projects can range from site scale to hundreds of miles in length. The objective is to avoid or minimize impacts while balancing engineering and construction requirements and make defensible decisions.

  • This role is responsible for the full understanding of a range of issues related to the successful siting and permitting of a transmission project and will be accountable for making sound recommendations and decisions.

  • T he candidate will have knowledge in land use planning with constraints identification and the ability to interact and present routing projects to the public and local officials.

  • Written, organizational, presentation, and oral communication skills, along with analytical thinking mindset are critical for success to this role. Engineering, environmental permitting, and construction knowledge are preferred.

What You'll Have:

Transmission Line Siting Spec(Grade 6)

Education requirements are listed below:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or Planning or Land Use Planning (preferred) or in Landscape Architecture, or Scientific related field.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

A minimum of one to two years' experience working as a Transmission Siting & Environmental Specialist III or equivalent.

Transmission Line Siting Spec Sr (Grade 7)

Education requirements are listed below:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or Planning or Land Use Planning (preferred) or in Landscape Architecture, or Scientific related field A professional license is desired but not required.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

Minimum of either 5-8 yrs total industry experience; OR minimally 3-5 yrs experience working as Transmission Siting & Environmental Spec I or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

  • May require extended hours to accomplish assigned tasks to meet requirements and schedules.

  • Some overnight travel to facilities and projects (field work) is required periodically.

  • Position requires some travel and exposure to situations which require knowledge, understanding, and adherence to applicable safety procedures.

  • Approximately 10 to 20% of travel time associated with this position.

What You'll Get:
Transmission Line Siting Spec (Garde 6)- $75,000-$90,000/yr.
Transmission Line Siting Spec Sr (Grade 7) - $88,000- $110,000/yr.
