Transmission Lines Engineer – Energy

What you’ll do
As a Transmission Lines Engineer in our Queensland Energy team based in Brisbane, you'll guide purposeful work that supports the future of the energy sector. Collaborating with a diverse, multidisciplinary team, you’ll explore integrated solutions, offer thoughtful perspectives, and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.
You'll play a pivotal role in delivering state-of-the-art transmission line infrastructure (up to 500kV) as part of the AEMO Integrated System Plan (ISP) and Renewable Energy Zones (REZ).
Advise clients on complex transmission line design projects from concept to delivery
Work with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges
Deliver high-quality advice that informs decisions
Contribute to resilient and innovative engineering solutions
Apply advanced analytics and optimisation to enhance performance
What you’ll bring
Relevant engineering qualifications and 5+ years’ consulting or utilities experience in Electrical Engineering
Working towards CPEng and/or RPEQ (preferred)
Strong capability in Transmission Line modelling – experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and PLS-Tower.
A track record of delivering practical, impactful outcomes
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions
A willingness to travel occasionally and support site-based roles when needed
