Vertiv is seeking a highly motivated Transition Manager to lead the phased migration of select Business Finance (FP&A) activities from across the organization into the ClujHub. This role orchestrates wave-based transitions, ensuring knowledge transfer, operational continuity, and stakeholder alignment throughout the migration process. Upon completion of the transition initiative, this role will evolve into the Data Intelligence COE (DICOE) as a permanent member of the analytics and finance operations team—positioning this role as a career development opportunity to shape the future of Data Intelligence COE capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Transition Planning & Governance

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of Business Finance scope migrations into the Cluj Hub
  • Manage multiple concurrent transition waves across functions and regions
  • Develop detailed transition plans including timelines, milestones, resource requirements, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Define and track transition KPIs (knowledge transfer completion, process stability, SLA adherence)
  • Manage formal sign-offs and executive sponsorship throughout transition phases
  • Coordinate and oversee the mapping of current-state processes, FTE sizing, and identification of resources to be hired in the receiving location to support each transition wave

2. Knowledge Transfer Leadership

  • Design and facilitate structured knowledge transfer sessions between source teams and the Cluj COE
  • Ensure all migrated processes are standardized, documented, and aligned with the COE operating model
  • Identify and resolve process gaps, dependencies, and risks during migration
  • Build process documentation and runbooks to support operational continuity
  • Implement three-phase knowledge transfer model (Shadow → Duplicate → Pilot) with weekly checkpoints to validate quality and capability
  • Coordinate knowledge documentation, process capture, and system training aligned to Cluj Hub team capability levels

3. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact between sending teams and the Cluj COE during transitions
  • Maintain regular communication cadence and progress updates; manage escalations and address concerns throughout multi-wave transitions
  • Facilitate alignment sessions and support collaborative ways of working between teams
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership

4. Operational Continuity & Risk Management

  • Define go-live readiness criteria and conduct readiness assessments before each transition wave
  • Manage hypercare periods post-migration to ensure process stability
  • Establish escalation paths and support structures during stabilization
  • Hand over stabilized processes to the Business Finance COE Operations team within the COE
  • Monitor transition risks across waves; identify dependencies between activities and business cycles
  • Establish clear escalation protocols and contingency plans for issues arising during knowledge transfer and handover phases
  • Ensure continuity of critical Business Finance processes and reporting during transitions
  • Track metrics: knowledge transfer completion, process adherence, error rates, and stakeholder satisfaction

5 Technology & AI Enablement

  • Leverage Cluj HUB capabilities and AI tools to expedite process education, transition execution, and knowledge management
  • Coordinate systems access, training, and technical setup for Cluj Hub team on Business Finance platforms and tools
  • Support data migration and process automation opportunities to optimize Cluj Hub efficiency and analytical capability

QUALIFICATIONS

Transition & Program Management

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Management
  • 5+ years of experience in transition management, preferably in finance shared services or COE environments
  • Proven track record of managing multi-regional or multi-functional scope migrations
  • Strong project management skills (planning, risk management, issue resolution)
  • Experience with transition methodologies, knowledge transfer frameworks, and readiness assessments

FP&A Domain Knowledge

  • Good understanding of FP&A processes: reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis
  • Familiarity with financial close cycles and reporting timelines
  • Ability to assess process complexity and define appropriate transition approaches
  • Experience working with finance Oracle ERP, HFM, EPM, Hyperion Financial Planning, One Stream, Essbase, TM1systems and reporting tools is a plus

Stakeholder & Communication Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across regions and functions
  • Experience working in cross-cultural teams and navigating matrix organizations
  • Strong facilitation skills

Analytical & Problem-Solving

  • Ability to assess risks, dependencies, and interdependencies across transition waves
  • Data-driven approach to tracking progress and making decisions
  • Process improvement mindset — identifying opportunities to standardize and optimize during migration

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This role is performed primarily in a standard office environment at the Cluj location. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a workstation using standard IT equipment (keyboard, mouse, dual monitors)
  • Frequent verbal and written communication (meetings, calls, presentations — both in-person and virtual)
  • Close visual acuity for reading and analyzing financial data, reports, and spreadsheets on screen
  • Repetitive hand/wrist motions associated with typing and data entry
  • Occasional lifting of light objects (up to 5 kg — laptop, files, office supplies)
  • Occasional domestic and international travel for business reviews, stakeholder alignment, and leadership meetings

Environmental Conditions

  • Indoor, climate-controlled office environment
  • Low to moderate noise level (open-plan or shared office setting)
  • Standard office lighting with prolonged screen exposure
  • Minimal exposure to hazards — limited to standard office risks (slips, trips, ergonomic strain)

Work Schedule Considerations

  • Standard business hours with occasional extended hours during active transition waves
  • Partial coverage of US Eastern Time required to support alignment with US-based leadership
  • Flexibility required to accommodate cross-time-zone collaboration with global stakeholders across multiple regions (AMER, EMEA, India, China & Asia)
  • Frequent travel required to source locations (Corporate US, China, India, Asia, EMEA) to conduct current-state assessments, process mapping workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions
  • On-site presence required 5 days per week at the Cluj office when not traveling
  • Travel intensity will vary by transition wave — expect higher frequency during discovery and knowledge capture phases, tapering as scope is stabilized in Cluj
