This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced transition leader who thrives in fast-paced, global, and results-driven environments.
Accountabilities:
- Develop comprehensive transition strategies and detailed execution plans covering scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Lead end-to-end service and process transitions from client environments or incumbent providers through knowledge transfer, migration, operational handover, and stabilization.
- Coordinate cross-functional, geographically distributed, and cross-cultural teams to ensure transitions are delivered smoothly and on schedule.
- Build and lead high-performing transition teams, providing direction, coordination, and accountability throughout the transition lifecycle.
- Partner closely with internal teams, clients, external stakeholders, and service providers to align expectations and maintain strong working relationships.
- Manage client expectations and provide regular status updates, governance meetings, executive briefings, and transparent reporting on progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Oversee training, knowledge transfer, documentation, SOP development, and knowledge-base creation to support successful operational readiness.
- Ensure transitions comply with organizational standards, service delivery frameworks, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor transition performance using relevant metrics and proactively identify opportunities to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
- Support post-transition stabilization, operational handover, and continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct post-transition reviews, capture lessons learned, and incorporate improvements into future transition programs.
- Manage multiple transitions in parallel while maintaining priorities, deadlines, quality standards, and stakeholder confidence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in service transition, project management, service delivery, or equivalent roles, preferably within procurement services.
- Proven experience managing large-scale transitions across multiple geographies, business domains, and time zones.
- Experience supporting US-based and global clients, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international working hours.
- Previous experience within the procurement consulting environment and a strong understanding of procurement service delivery models.
- Strong knowledge of service management and delivery methodologies, including ITIL; PMP or PRINCE2 certifications are preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, client relationship management, risk management, and transition governance.
- Experience managing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, storytelling, documentation, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and influence clients, including C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong active listening skills, with the ability to ask effective clarifying questions and translate complex requirements into actionable plans.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including expert-level PowerPoint presentation development and strong MS Project capabilities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain deadlines, and reprioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with strong ownership, initiative, confidence, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- Comfortable working in challenging, metrics-driven, fast-paced, and results-oriented environments.
- Ability to provide at least six hours of working-time overlap with the US Eastern Time Zone.
Benefits:
- Remote-based position in India, working as an extension of a US-based team.
- Opportunity to work on complex global transitions involving international clients, teams, and business environments.
- Exposure to large-scale service delivery, procurement transformation, and cross-functional operational initiatives.
- Collaboration with senior stakeholders and opportunities to influence high-impact transition programs.
- Professional growth through exposure to diverse transition models, methodologies, clients, and geographies.
- Opportunity to lead teams and develop expertise in transition governance, service delivery, and operational transformation.
- A fast-paced, results-driven environment that encourages ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement.
