
The Transit Coordinator - Data Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and analytical duties for the Transportation Department. The job assignment includes but is not limited to collecting, aggregating and interpreting program data (i.e., fare type, passenger types, vehicle miles and hours, service miles and hours) which is imperative for recognizing trends, program sustainability and recommendations for efficiency. Work is performed with considerable independence within the framework of established procedures, City and departmental policies and managing the operation within the budgetary plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Requires the completion of a degree from a four-year accredited institution and/or four years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and transit programming experience. Two years of experience with a municipal, state, and/or federal agency in transit planning and/or management, and/or processing documents (paper or electronic) to meet FHWA, FAA, FRA, and/or FTA requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, talking, and walking.
