In this influential role, you will combine deep technical expertise with customer engagement, engineering governance, and project support to deliver solutions that improve asset reliability, safety, and performance.

How you'll make an impact

  • Acting as the technical subject matter expert for transformer services and digital solutions.
  • Developing and recommending technical solutions that meet customer requirements and support business objectives.
  • Leading and approving engineering design reviews, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
  • Providing advanced troubleshooting, fault analysis, and technical support for complex transformer and digital product issues.
  • Reviewing service reports and field findings, identifying opportunities to improve reliability, operational performance, and asset life.
  • Representing Hitachi Energy in customer meetings, technical workshops, project reviews, tenders, and sales discussions.
  • Building trusted customer relationships through responsive technical support and professional engagement.
  • Delivering technical training on transformer operation, maintenance, monitoring, diagnostics, and digital solutions.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, engineering assessments, procedures, service recommendations, and project deliverables.
  • Supporting project teams with technical evaluations, risk assessments, scope changes, and claims management while ensuring contractual and customer expectations are met.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Power Transformers, transformer services, maintenance, testing, diagnostics, or asset management.
  • Experience with transformer monitoring systems, digital solutions, condition assessment, and diagnostic technologies.
  • Strong understanding of utility, industrial, renewable energy, and transmission applications.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (AS), IEC standards, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
