Base Salary: $125,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience)

A highly experienced Electrical Engineer serving as a Subject Matter Expert in high-voltage transformers and related equipment. This role leads product development, supports complex engineering projects, and provides technical guidance across data center, renewable energy, utility, and industrial applications while influencing design standards and mentoring engineering teams.

Job Function

  • Lead one or more product lines focused on LV/MV/HV breakers and transformers
  • Support execution of engineering projects while driving product innovation and development
  • Develop quotations, schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and bill of materials (BOM) documentation
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and leadership to align schedules and project deliverables
  • Interpret and apply engineering standards, codes, and client requirements to complex designs
  • Interface with clients to provide technical expertise, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions
  • Evaluate design alternatives to resolve constructability and engineering challenges
  • Provide technical leadership, oversight, and training to junior engineering staff
  • Perform quality checks, peer reviews, and ensure accuracy of engineering deliverables

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical power or infrastructure engineering
  • Strong background in high-voltage equipment, particularly transformers and breakers
  • Experience supporting complex projects in utility, industrial, renewable, or data center sectors

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and industry codes
  • Proven ability to lead technical efforts and mentor engineering teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex design challenges
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while influencing multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Proficiency in CAD software, Microsoft Office Suite, and PDF editing tools
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Experience with transformer and breaker applications across multiple industries preferred
