Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of strong project governance and disciplined execution across Vicinity Centres. The role applies and embeds enterprise delivery frameworks, tools and capabilities, partnering with business leaders to drive oversight and decision making. The role contributes to improved ways of working by leading and supporting continuous improvement opportunities, structured reviews of initiatives and activities, and the delivery of programs focused on business effectiveness and efficiency. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to influence across functions and levels of the organisation to build maturity in project execution and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities


Enterprise project management frameworks and capability

  • Apply and embed enterprise-wide project management frameworks, tools and processes to drive consistent delivery discipline, transparency and maturity
  • Enable consistent use of delivery disciplines through coaching, guidance and hands on support to project and initiative teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project and program management practices by identifying improvement opportunities and providing practical feedback and insights


Project delivery oversight, governance and support

  • Provide targeted delivery oversight to support prioritisation, informed decision making and effective governance
  • Lead targeted intervention on critical or underperforming initiatives, supporting recovery plans and realignment of scope, schedule, risks and value outcomes
  • Partner with initiative owners to strengthen governance, clarify accountabilities and resolve delivery issues


Strategic alignment and enterprise efficiency reviews

  • Lead and contribute to reviews of organisation wide initiatives to assess strategic alignment, prioritisation and overall impact
  • Translate review findings into practical recommendations and initiatives that improve organisational effectiveness and efficiency


Delivery of priority projects and programs

  • Lead and support the end to end delivery of select projects aligned to Vicinity’s strategic priorities
  • Oversee delivery outcomes to ensure initiatives achieve intended benefits, commercial outcomes and stakeholder expectations
  • Manage interdependencies, risks and delivery trade offs, escalating issues as required
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate review outcomes into practical, executable improvement initiatives

Capability and Experience


Essential Experience (what you have done)

  • Demonstrated experience scoping, managing and delivering complex, end to end programs in a consulting or corporate environment, with clear consideration of scope, milestones, dependencies, financials, risks and outcomes
  • Proven experience contributing to and delivering organisational efficiency and effectiveness reviews, translating insights into measurable business outcomes
  • Experience diagnosing, redesigning and embedding improved business processes using structured, pragmatic approaches, with consideration of automation and technology enablement
  • Experience delivering sustainable change through effective governance, communication, training and process


Critical Knowledge (what you need to know)

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law, Engineering or similar

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to assess value and risk, identify root causes, synthesise insights and support informed decision making
  • Highly effective communication, influence and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage across multiple levels and functions of the organisation
  • Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of business cases, cost benefit analysis, value drivers and benefits realisation
  • Pragmatic and solution focused, with the ability to apply fit for purpose approaches aligned to organisational context and maturity
