Job Description

MUFG Corporate Markets is seeking a Transformation Consultant to help drive meaningful operational transformation across the organisation.

This role sits at the intersection of business improvement, technology enablement, and delivery, combining the skillset of a Project Manager and Business Analyst. You will work directly with business and technology teams to redesign processes, embed automation and AI-driven efficiencies, and ensure new solutions transition successfully into business-as-usual operations.

About the Role

As a Transformation Consultant, you will help translate strategic transformation objectives into practical initiatives that improve operational performance, enhance customer outcomes, and create scalable ways of working.

You will partner closely with business teams to rethink processes, embed digital solutions, and build sustainable operating models that deliver long-term efficiency and value.

A key part of the role is ensuring that improvements stick — through clear documentation, ownership models, reporting frameworks, and effective transition into BAU.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Improvement & Transformation

  • Work closely with business teams to observe and analyse day-to-day operations, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Challenge legacy processes and design smarter, more efficient ways of working.
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques to streamline workflows and improve service outcomes.
  • Support transformation initiatives focused on AI, automation and digitisation.
  • Ensure solutions are effectively embedded into BAU, including post-implementation support and benefit realisation.
  • Document processes, requirements, and operating models to support sustainable improvements.

Project Delivery

  • Lead transformation initiatives from discovery through implementation and operational handover.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and align stakeholders.
  • Maintain structured project delivery including timelines, milestones, RAID logs and stakeholder reporting.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges early and manage them proactively.
  • Ensure go-live readiness through training, documentation and operational preparation.

Governance & Sustainable Change

  • Establish reporting frameworks and performance dashboards to track operational outcomes.
  • Build structures that enable teams to own their processes, metrics and improvement cycles.
  • Support the transition from transformation program governance into operational governance.
  • Work closely with risk and compliance teams to ensure solutions align with regulatory and operational requirements.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a practical, delivery-focused transformation professional who enjoys improving how work gets done.

Key experience includes:

  • Experience in business transformation, operational improvement, business analysis or project delivery.
  • Ability to analyse complex processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service outcomes.
  • Experience working within large or complex organisations, ideally within financial services or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working constructively.
  • Experience documenting business processes, operational procedures and requirements.
  • Comfortable working across business and technology teams to implement solutions.
