About the Role

Are you an experienced transfer pricing professional ready to take ownership in a dynamic, international environment?

As a Manager Transfer Pricing with a focus on the Education segment, you will play a key role in shaping and steering transfer pricing matters for a fast-evolving and highly digitalized business area. You will drive strategic initiatives, ensure robust compliance across jurisdictions, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within the Education business and central functions.

In this position, you will report directly to the Global Head of Transfer Pricing and closely collaborate on strategic topics at group level.

In addition, you will support team members and contribute to the continuous enhancement of processes and governance structures.

This is a hybrid role based in Berlin. These locations support effective collaboration with the team and aligns with business needs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of transfer pricing matters relating to the Education segment, leveraging strong financial acumen and business insights to ensure alignment with the group’s global TP framework
  • Design, implement and continuously enhance transfer pricing policies and structures, applying process optimization, tech savvy, including for digital and platform-based business models
  • Lead the preparation, review and optimization of transfer pricing documentation, applying process optimization and utilizing deep knowledge of tax and transfer pricing regulations (OECD guidelines and local requirements)
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, Finance and senior management—particularly within the Education segment—by combining business insights, financial acumen, and resourcefulness to guide intercompany arrangements and transfer pricing implications
  • Manage complex intercompany transactions using strong knowledge of tax transfer pricing regulations, and understanding of accounting principles, ensuring consistency with the segment’s operating model
  • Drive and coordinate transfer pricing audits, applying resourcefulness and expertise in tax transfer pricing regulations when interacting with tax authorities and external advisors
  • Monitor international TP developments with a high level of business insights and knowledge of tax transfer pricing regulations, translating regulatory changes into actionable recommendations for the Education business
  • Lead cross-functional projects (e.g. business model changes, digitalization initiatives, implementation of new TP policies), leveraging process optimization, tech savvy, and resource planning capabilities
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering resourcefulness, strengthening financial acumen, tech savvy and contributing to building a high-performing TP function

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • University degree in Economics, Finance or a related field
  • Demonstrable years of relevant transfer pricing experience, ideally within a multinational group or advisory environment
  • Strong expertise in OECD transfer pricing principles and international tax frameworks
  • Experience with digital, IP-based or platform-driven business models is an advantage
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and interact with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in handling tax audits and working with external advisors
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with a pragmatic mindset
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in an international environment
  • Fluent in English; German is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with SAP and data/TP tools is an advantage
