The Transfer Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruiting, advising, and enrolling transfer students from inquiry through orientation completion while representing Campbellsville University with professionalism and integrity. This position manages a defined transfer recruitment territory and develops relationships with community colleges, partner institutions, and prospective students to build a consistent transfer pipeline. The counselor attends college fairs, transfer days, community events, and campus visits, and conducts both on-campus and virtual appointments to guide students through program selection, transfer pathways, and enrollment steps.

The counselor evaluates transfer applications in collaboration with the Registrar’s Office by reviewing transcripts, determining preliminary transfer credit alignment, and communicating admission decisions and next steps in a timely and student-friendly manner. They assist students with understanding financial aid processes, scholarship opportunities, and institutional policies that affect transfer students, ensuring each student receives clear and accurate guidance.

The position requires consistent management of student records and communication using Workday and Mongoose. The counselor maintains accurate prospect and applicant data in Workday, tracks application completion and document collection, and monitors each student’s progress through the admissions funnel. Through Mongoose, the counselor executes and responds to text message campaigns, provides timely follow up, and maintains personalized communication to support application completion, advising, and enrollment.

The Transfer Admissions Counselor collaborates closely with academic departments, advising, financial aid, student services, and orientation teams to remove barriers and support a smooth transition for transfer students. The counselor participates in campus visit programs, orientation, and enrollment events, and contributes to recruitment planning, reporting, and goal attainment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed activity notes, running and reviewing enrollment reports, and supporting retention initiatives by ensuring students are prepared for a successful start at the university.
