To evaluate transfer
credits and/or academic and vocational graduation requirements; provide
technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students; perform related work.

The successful candidate will facilitate seamless benefit
delivery and academic progression tracking for active-duty military, veteran,
and dependent students. This role leads the analysis, certification, and
transcript evaluation required for Department of Defense, State of Idaho, and
VA educational assistance programs. Additionally, the position acts as a
central campus resource, providing technical guidance to students, faculty, and
administration while ensuring adherence to evolving legislative and regulatory
guidelines.

This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Gain and apply an understanding of all
Department of Defense Federal Tuition Assistance regulations, current and
past legislation, that will affect active duty military students attending
Idaho State.
- Gain and apply an understanding of all State of
Idaho Tuition Assistance regulations, current and past legislation, that
will affect active duty military students attending Idaho State.
- Advise and assist active duty military students
in preparing necessary documents for submission to Department of Defense
Tuition Assistance and State of Idaho Tuition Assistance to secure
benefits each term.
- Analyze and process enrollment, student
documents, and current academic status of all students eligible to receive
Department of Defense Federal Tuition Assistance and State of Idaho
Tuition Assistance.
- Gain and apply an understanding of all VA
Education Benefits regulations, current and past legislation, that will
affect Veteran students, active duty military students and qualifying
dependents attending Idaho State.
- Analyze and process enrollment certifications
and current status of all students eligible to receive VA Education
Benefits administered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Evaluate transcripts in various formats from
various institutes of higher learning to track satisfactory progression
toward program completion for student utilizing Department of Defense
Tuition Assistance, State of Idaho Tuition Assistance, and/or VA Education
Benefits.
- Serve as a central information resource for
Faculty, Staff, and military connected students regarding Department of
Defense Federal Tuition Assistance, State of Idaho Tuition Assistance, and
VA Education Benefits.
- Provide technical information to faculty,
staff, Veteran students, active duty military students, qualifying dependents,
and potential students regarding the process to utilize Department of
Defense Tuition Assistance, State of Idaho Tuition Assistance, and VA
Education Benefits.
- Collaborate with various department on campus
including, but not limited to, Office of Finance and Administration,
Central Academic Advising, Student Affairs, etc regarding the process’
utilized by students using Department of Defense Tuition Assistance, State
of Idaho Tuition Assistance, and VA Education Benefits.
- Monitor student Department of Defense Tuition
Assistance, State of Idaho Tuition Assistance, and VA Education Benefits
records and maintain Idaho State’s compliance in records retention for
both programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

- Researching, interpreting and applying university policies and
procedures relating to transfer credits or graduation requirements.

- Interpreting, applying and explaining university academic and
vocational program requirements.

- Computing grade point averages.

- Compiling data and preparing reports.


Additional Information

ISU minimum for this classification is $19.01/hour, commensurate with education and experience. To be considered for this opportunity, apply on or before September 13, 2026. Benefits
