The ImpactYou’llMake in this Role

As a TransactionFinanceSpecialist in IT Mergers & Acquisitions, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world leading acquisition and divestiture activities as part of the broader IT M&A organization at Solventum.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supportingassigned IT M&A transaction workstreamsby developing plans, managing timelines, tracking dependencies, identifyingrisks,buildingand managing transaction budgets, forecasts, actuals, accruals, invoice tracking, settlement activities, and financial reporting for acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, separations, and TSAs

  • Supporting IT due diligence, transaction planning,Transition Services Agreement (TSA) delivery, and TSA exit activitiesby partnering with IT functional teams to assess business requirements, and buildingfinancial models and analyses supporting one-time separation costs, ongoing run-rate costs, TSA pricing,recovery, stranded costs, synergy realization, transition investments, and value capture objectivesthroughout the transaction lifecycle

  • Partnering withIT, Finance, IMO, Procurement, Legal, and business stakeholders toestablishfinancial assumptions, validate cost estimates, manage financial governance processes, and ensure alignment between transactionobjectives, operating plans, and funding requirements

  • Drivingfinancial strategy, planning, forecasting, and governance activities across complex acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, separations, and TSA programs,ensuring financial transparency, cost control, funding alignment, and executive decision support throughout the transaction lifecycle includingactual versus forecast performance, resource requirements, value realization opportunities associated with transaction activities

  • Supportingcontinuous improvement of IT M&Afinancial managementcapabilitiesthrough refinement of acquisition and divestiture playbooks, financialtools,models, cost estimationmethodology,governance, lessons learned, reporting mechanisms, and operational best practices to improve future transaction execution.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventumrequires(at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, Strategy, Finance or a related discipline from a top tier instituteand a minimum of 5 years of experience inIT or IT Financeincluding 2+ years supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integration, separation, or business transformation activities

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited universityorHigh School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of 6years of experience inIT or IT Finance, including 3+ years supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integration, separation, or business transformation activities

  • Minimum 4years working with global IT organizationssupporting complex technologyprograms, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, digital transformation, or enterprise technology initiativesas part of Transformation/Deal Management office

  • Demonstrated ability to build financial models, perform scenario analysis, forecasts, evaluate risks, and provide recommendations supporting business and technology decisions.

Additionalqualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience supporting IT due diligence, Day 1 readiness, TSA planning, TSA execution, TSA exit, integration, separation, or carve-out activitiesin a Consulting firm or as part of M&A office or transformation office in an organization

  • Understanding of technology cost management, financial planning, value realization, and business case development in M&A environments

  • Strong understanding of transaction financial conceptsincluding one-time costs, run-rate costs, stranded costs,synergytracking, value realization, cost allocation methodologies, and business case development.

  • Strong communicationskillsprovenabilityto influence stakeholders,facilitatecross-functional alignment, manage competing priorities, and drive execution in highly matrixed organizations.

  • Familiarity with AI tools, Microsoft Power Platform, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar collaboration and reporting technologies.
