Step into the role of Transaction Monitoring QC People Leader at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future. In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct.
You will manage business operations by driving process efficiency, risk management, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives. Partner with internal stakeholders to optimize operational processes, enhance service delivery, and support the achievement of business objectives through data-driven decision-making.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:
Own QC governance across the function, ensuring consistent application of sampling methodology, defect classification, and quality standards.
Lead quality calibration across QC & Operations to drive standardization and minimize subjectivity in decision making.
Drive defect trend analysis and thematic RCA to identify systemic gaps and feed into process enhancements, controls, and training interventions.
Partner with key stakeholders to run forums, drive accountability and ensure closure of quality actions as per the requirement.
Apply strong judgement in quality assessment, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to AML/TM policies and procedures.
Demonstrate strong understanding of AML/TM controls, QC frameworks, and risk-based assurance to strengthen overall control environment.
Drive high-quality coaching and structured feedback to improve investigator capability and embed sustainable quality improvements.
Desirable skills set:
Strong operations management and process improvement experience with a focus on continuous improvement.
Excellent analytical skills with experience in KPI reporting, performance monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
Stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
Knowledge of risk management, compliance, governance frameworks, and operational controls.
