About Opendoor

At Opendoor our mission is to tilt the world in favor of homeowners and those who aim to become one. Homeownership matters. It's how people build wealth, stability, and community. It's how families put down roots, how neighborhoods strengthen, how the future gets built. We're building the modern system of homeownership giving people the freedom to buy and sell on their own terms. We’ve built an end-to-end online experience that has already helped thousands of people and we’re just getting started.

Location

We're looking for team members who are enthusiastic about an in-office culture — people who want to build alongside others and not from a distance. This role is based in one of our talent hubs where we welcome everyone 5 days a week with the requirement of Mo, Tu, Th, Fri.

About The Team

The Transaction Operations team is the operational backbone of Opendoor’s platform, driving deal completion from contract execution through closing. We are a process-driven, tech-enabled team that operates at the intersection of customer experience, compliance, and workflow execution. We partner across internal teams and external stakeholders to keep complex operational pipelines moving fast, accurately, and at scale.

About The Role

As a Transaction Coordinator (Transaction Management), you will own end-to-end execution across high-volume operational workflows. You will combine process discipline, data integrity, and cross-functional coordination to ensure transactions progress through critical milestones without friction. This role sits at the heart of our tech-enabled operations, requiring strong systems fluency, sharp problem-solving skills, exception handling, and meticulous attention to detail.

What You'll Do

  • Pipeline & Workflow Execution: Manage a high-volume portfolio of active transactions, monitoring milestones, tracking SLAs, and driving items to completion.
  • Operational & Data Integrity: Validate critical platform documentation, perform data verification, and ensure file compliance across internal digital systems.
  • Exception & Ticket Management: Utilize Zendesk and proprietary internal platforms to triage tasks, manage partner queues, resolve operational blockers, and escalate edge cases.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the main operational contact for internal cross-functional partners and external vendors to keep workflows moving efficiently.
  • Financial & Compliance Workflows: Facilitate accurate and timely transaction-related fund transfers, documentation reviews, and regulatory verification steps.
  • Process Optimization & AI: Leverage internal tools and AI automation to streamline daily tasks, identifying process bottlenecks to help improve team operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Process-Driven Mindset: Proven track record managing high-volume tasks with strict deadlines, high accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
  • Tech & Tool Savviness: High comfort level navigating ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk), internal software platforms, enterprise databases, and digital workflows.
  • Operational Resilience: Comfortable managing ambiguity, shifting priorities, and edge cases in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Clear Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain clarity and professionalism with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: A problem-solving orientation with empathy for end customers navigating complex, high-stakes milestones.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in tech operations, tech-enabled service delivery, SaaS customer operations, logistics coordination, or real estate/escrow operations.
  • Hands-on experience using Zendesk or similar ticketing/CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with third-party vendor management, documentation audits, or regulatory compliance workflows.
  • Active interest or experience using AI tools and automation to optimize personal productivity and daily workflows.

Role Requirements

  • Location: In-office role based in Tempe, Arizona (this is not a remote position).
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Arizona time.
