Responsible for supervising a Transmission Line Engineering (TLE) team's activities associated with expansion and upgrading of AEP transmission line facilities. Coordinates team's activities with Project Management to see that the engineering and design, route selection, production of construction drawings and specifications and preparation of a bill of materials for a project are completed with corporate objectives in mind and in accordance with industry, governmental and regulatory standards or rules. Ensures that all activities will be performed in accordance with TLE standards or best practices and are technically and economically appropriate solutions to the facility being installed or altered. These activities will be executed with consideration to employee and public safety, system reliability, ease of operation and timely project completion within approved project schedules and budgets. Works with their team to provide solutions to requested transmission line and civil engineering questions made by Project Management, Transmission Services and other AEP organizations. Provide engineering support as needed for the operation and maintenance of system Transmission lines. Keep owner's records and provide required reports for regulatory and compliance requirements.
NOTE: This is an onsite position reporting to our Corpus Christi location.

Education requirements are listed below: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET college or university.
Work Experience requirement listed below: 10 years' of electric utility engineering experience, with 5 years' of Line engineering experience.
Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Registration as a Professional Engineer in any state of the U. S. is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Physical demand level is Sedentary
1) Highly skilled in technology and computers.
2) Effective oral and written communications skills including strong presentation skills.
