General Description
Responsible for the implementation and execution of training and development plans and programs that support the effective performance of the company's operations and workforce.
Key Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations
- Conduct the annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify organizational training requirements and develop the site's annual training plan.
- Develop and maintain departmental work procedures in compliance with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, TL 9000, and ESD 2020 standards.
- Coordinate with the training team to monitor and manage the certification program for critical operations established by the company.
- Maintain direct communication with external training providers to evaluate training costs, course content, and instructional quality.
- Coordinate with trainers to maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with ISO requirements.
- Participate in Kaizen events and lead, document, and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Serve as an internal instructor when required based on the nature of the training program.
- Prepare, validate, and analyze training reports that support employee development and departmental performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the annual training plan, implementing improvements and updates as necessary to ensure effective employee training and development.
- Develop and implement training programs for new products, processes, and production launches.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related field.
- Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a Training Supervisor or similar role.
- Experience supervising and managing personnel.
- Knowledge of STPS training regulations and requirements, including training matrices, annual training plans, and compliance documentation.
- Strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI experience is considered an asset.
- Experience using Tress and CIRSE systems.
- Knowledge of production operations certification programs.
- Experience ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Knowledge of TL 9000, IATF 16949, and ESD requirements and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of shop floor integration processes.
- Internal Trainer certification preferred.
- Certification in Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, DMAIC, or similar is preferred.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721 industry standards is preferred.
