Training Support Specialist – TemporaryPay Rate: $21.50/hour

Assignment Length: Approximately 4–5 months

Employment Type: TemporaryPosition SummaryUAB Temp Services is seeking customer-focused and dependable Training Support Specialists to assist with a large-scale training initiative supporting UAB Hospital entities during the transition to the Epic electronic health record system.Training Support Specialists will provide on-site operational, administrative, and customer service support within designated training locations. This position will help ensure training sessions run smoothly by assisting employees as they arrive, supporting classroom needs, providing basic computer and login assistance, completing errands and other logistical tasks, and helping maintain an organized and welcoming training environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Provide on-site support for scheduled employee training sessions at designated UAB locations.

Greet and assist employees attending training and provide directions or general information as needed.

Assist with classroom setup and preparation before and between training sessions.

Help participants with basic computer functions, including logging in and out of training workstations and accessing required systems.

Direct technical or system-related issues to the appropriate training or technical support personnel.

Assist instructors and training staff with general classroom and administrative needs.

Monitor classroom needs and help ensure participants have the appropriate materials and resources.

Assist with attendance, check-in, sign-in processes, and other basic documentation as assigned.

Run errands and transport materials or supplies between training areas when needed.

Help maintain an organized, professional, and customer-focused training environment.

Communicate questions, concerns, or issues to the appropriate training leadership.

Provide general administrative and logistical support throughout assigned shifts.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Epic training initiative.This is a temporary project assignment expected to last approximately 4–5 months. Multiple shifts and training locations may be available based on the Epic training schedule. Candidates should have flexibility regarding scheduling and work location.Hourly Rate: $21.50

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous experience in customer service, call center, administrative support, front desk, office support, or a similar customer-facing environment.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.

Comfortable working with computers and providing basic assistance with functions such as logging in and out.

Ability to follow instructions and established processes.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of employees.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain assigned work schedules.

Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a larger team.Preferred Skills

Experience supporting training sessions, events, classrooms, orientations, or large groups.

Administrative or call center experience in a healthcare, educational, or corporate environment.

Experience assisting customers or employees with basic computer-related questions.

Ability to remain professional and helpful while managing multiple requests and priorities.
