INDUS supports the planning, coordination, and installation activities of Combat System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C5I) Systems in aircraft carriers, and other strike group or strike force units (including but not limited to LHA, LHD, LPD, and other L-Class units). Our team is directly responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, and execution of New Construction (SCN) testing and modernization efforts in support of the Modernization and Installation Department (N Department), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD).

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Training Support Coordinator (PRECOM) provides support for all Pre-Commissioning Unit (PRECOM) personnel during the new construction of ships at the Huntington Ingalls (HII) shipyard on the CVN/L-Class Support Services contract The duties include providing administrative, logistics, training, financial, and travel support in order to facilitate each respective Ship’s Crew transition onto a newly commissioned ship. This position is located in Pascagoula, MS.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with coordinating and tracking crew support requirements for PRECOM crews, including billeting, travel, training, and administrative needs.
  • Support research and coordination efforts to assist NAVSEA in determining training requirements, funding needs, locations, tuition costs, travel requirements, and course schedules for ship’s force personnel.
  • Assist ship’s force with preparing and submitting documentation required to request training through various PEO SHIP program offices.
  • Support crew travel coordination and funding requests, including serving as a Reviewer in the Defense Travel System (DTS) to assist with reviewing and approving travel orders and arrangements.
  • Manage administrative resources supporting PRECOM crews, including inventory of office keys, cell phones, parking spaces, and assigned telephone requirements.
  • Submit, track, and coordinate resolution of HII facility-related trouble tickets, including security access, housekeeping, and building issues.
  • Research and maintain current NAVSEA, military installation, and local area points of contact to support crew requirements.
  • Assist with coordinating local area support requirements for new construction crews, including medical and dental resources, ATFP events, SCIF access, and SCIF readouts.
  • Support crew transition activities, including coordinating crew move-out from PCU facilities to the ship (crew move aboard).
  • Provide contract and program research supporting nucleus and balance crew arrival requirements and HII support obligations.
  • Support information requests from NAVSEA stakeholders, PCU leadership, and TRIAD personnel related to crew support activities.
  • Prepare and maintain recurring reports and program data, including weekly task reports, monthly billeting reports, and other standard PCU business reporting requirements.
  • Maintain organized electronic records and filing systems for local CU/PCU business activities.
  • Support management of NAVSEA-owned secure spaces by verifying proper administration and oversight by ship’s force.
  • Assist with research, coordination, and administrative support required to maintain training simulators and related resources.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in administration, logistics, operations research analysis, or financial/cost analysis.

  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is desired.
  • More than three (3) years of experience in administration, logistics, operations research analysis, or financial/cost analysis is desired.
  • Prior experience with Navy, DoD, or Federal funding procedures and policies is desired.
  • Ability to effectively brief team members and Department leadership on project status, updates, and key information is desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Travel Required ~10% travel required.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
