Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Directly supervises, coaches, and evaluates a team of Trainers responsible for classroom and field training of Broadband technicians.
  • Responsible for the scheduling, assignment, quality of, and completion of each training session for both remote and in person classes.
  • Ensure Trainers maintain complete knowledge of client-provided training modules, facilitator guides, and exercises.
  • Acts as senior SME for field installation processes relative to Google Fiber installs.
  • Oversee professional delivery of ITC culture and client materials to ensure retention and engagement.
  • Ensure Trainers remain current on Fiber-to-the-Home systems, video, data, and Google Fiber products.
  • Oversees training environments including classroom setup, instructional technology, and cleanliness.
  • Leads continuous improvement of training materials, methods, and retention strategies.
  • Performs other related supervisory duties as assigned.
  • Ensures compliance with standards set by Area Management and prescribed timelines.
  • Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of client system onboarding and offboarding, including internal and external requirements.
  • Working in partnership with other cross functional teams to manage a safe and accurate fleet reporting and assignments.
  • Responsible for providing weekly training reports to management and clients in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in applicable field preferred or combination of work experience and education
  • A minimum of 2 years’ field experience in telecommunications industry
  • Relevant technical and/or training certifications (Comp TIA, CCNA, OSHA 30, etc.) preferred.
  • Structured classroom training experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work involves standing and sitting for long periods of time, reaching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working with, transporting, and or using A-Frame and extension ladders in practical and training environments. Working under strict timelines and stress.
