We’re actively seeking an experienced Training Superintendent to support the continued growth of Northern Star Surface Mining (NSSM). Based at our Subiaco Head Office with regular site travel, this role will play a key part in developing, implementing and standardising training and competency frameworks across NSSM operations.

You will bring strong operational experience within surface production mining and mobile maintenance, combined with demonstrated training, assessment and workforce development expertise.

Here’s what awaits you:

• Develop fit-for-purpose training frameworks and plans for the dynamic and expanding NSSM business unit.
• Develop, refine and implement training systems and processes in partnership with site teams.
• Perform assurance audits to ensure Training Needs Analyses (TNA) remain fit for purpose and compliance requirements are maintained.
• Support the standardisation of training and competency processes across NSSM projects.
• Develop and refine training packages to deliver high-quality, practical and cost-effective training outcomes.
• Support the development and rollout of training initiatives across the NSSM business unit.
• Coach, mentor and build strong working relationships with corporate and site leadership teams.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Strong operational experience within surface production mining and mobile maintenance environments.
• Demonstrated experience in training, assessing and competency/proficiency development.
• Experience in the development and support of trainees and apprentices.
• Lead Auditor qualification (desirable).
• Strong working knowledge of INX Intuition.
• SharePoint experience (desirable).
• Experience utilising simulators and other training technologies.
• Knowledge of change management processes.
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training architecture.
• Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s Licence.
