What You Can Expect

The Training Sr Specialist develops, administers, and continuously improves training programs that support employee competence, product quality, and regulatory compliance in a medical device manufacturing environment. This role owns the effective assignment, documentation, tracking, and evaluation of training across manufacturing operations and supporting functions; partners closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Document Control, and functional leaders; and serves as a subject-matter resource for training-system processes and data.

How You'll Create Impact

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of role-based training curricula that support regulatory, quality-system, manufacturing, and job-skill requirements.
• Ensure employees receive appropriate, timely, and effective training; monitor completion, qualification status, and overdue training; and escalate compliance risks to functional leadership as appropriate.
• Administer day-to-day training-system activities, including assignment of training, entry and maintenance of learning records, response to business requests, and preparation of training reports and status updates.
• Partner with Document Control and change-control stakeholders to assess training impacts and ensure applicable personnel are trained on new or revised procedures, work instructions, and other controlled documents before implementation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and other functional leaders to identify training needs, prioritize solutions, and align curricula with current job responsibilities and business requirements.
• Develop and maintain new-employee orientation and onboarding training programs for in-house personnel.
• Design and apply training-effectiveness methods, including knowledge checks, practical assessments, qualification criteria, and follow-up evaluation, to assess employees’ ability to perform assigned work.
• Analyze training data and trends to identify gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities to strengthen curricula, learning materials, training processes, and compliance performance.
• Provide technical guidance on training-system practices and help resolve complex training documentation, assignment, and reporting issues with limited supervision.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and inspection-ready training documentation in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Strong knowledge of medical device manufacturing and quality-system training requirements; working knowledge of applicable FDA regulations, practices, and guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop practical solutions to complex training and compliance challenges and to work independently under general direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational, analytical, database, and reporting skills, with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Experience using learning-management systems and electronic document-management or training-record systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, influence without direct authority, and maintain a customer-focused, compliance-driven approach.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, communications, training, education, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Five to seven years of relevant training, quality, manufacturing, or regulated-industry experience, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience supporting regulated training programs, controlled-document changes, and training effectiveness or qualification processes preferred.

Travel Expectations

• Up to 10% travel may be required.
