Job Description

STATEMENT OF THE JOB

The Training Specialist is responsible for assisting in designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees’ workplace performance in accordance with the Agency’s core values and Best Practices. The Training Specialist will also participate in activities focused on enhancing the competencies of individual employees. The Training Specialist demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with internal and external partners to provide quality seamless customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver group and individual instruction and training,
• Collaborate with staff on the development of training curricula as part of the teams.
• Create training outlines
• Develop and schedule calendar of workshops and trainings.
• Conduct trainings; present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
• Coordinate administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
• Attend meetings and seminars as appropriate to obtain information for use in training programs.
• Conduct assessments of training needs
• Participate in activities promoting partnerships with universities and other agencies
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor preferred
• SHRM Certification, PHR/SPHR a plus.
• Must have 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; including 3 years experience in training required.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and MS Teams.
• Proficiency with Survey Monkey.
• Experience with HRIS or similar database programs.
