Job Description

The CDS Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that support operating partners, school leaders, employees, and corporate team members in achieving operational excellence and consistent brand experience. This role partners with operations, instructional designers, field support, corporate departments, and business leaders to ensure stakeholders have the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to successfully execute company standards, processes, systems, and customer experience initiatives. We welcome candidates from any industry or brand who bring a strong operational background, exceptional facilitation skills, and a passion for developing others. Candidates should reside within the assigned region, ideally in a strategic location that provides efficient access to corporate offices, regional schools, and training sites.

Essential Functions

Training Content Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), eLearning courses, job aids, and other learning resources to support operational excellence.
  • Translate complex operational processes, best practices, and business initiatives into scalable training solutions that drive consistency, standardization, and performance across the network.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, subject matter experts, and instructional design teams to create, implement, and deliver effective learning programs that support business goals and learner success.

Training Delivery & Facilitation:

  • Facilitate engaging instructor-led and virtual training sessions for corporate team members, operating partners and school leadership, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Facilitates Train the Trainer program to equip school operating partners and school leadership with the knowledge and skills needed for the desired impact/outcomes.
  • Adapt training delivery methods and communication styles to meet the needs of diverse audiences, learning preferences, and experience levels.
  • Assess learner comprehension through observation, discussions, activities, and assessments, providing timely coaching and feedback to reinforce learning and support performance improvement.
  • Operational Expertise & Field Support:

  • Work collaboratively with operations and business leaders to build employee capability through onboarding, training delivery, learning reinforcement, and the dissemination of best practices that support consistent execution across locations
  • Support operating partners in onboarding and ongoing training initiatives by delivering learning programs, resources, and coaching that drive capability development and successful execution.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, operational metrics, and performance data.
  • Gather feedback and analyze learning outcomes to continuously improve training programs, learning materials, and overall learner experience.
  • Develop and maintainexpertise in school and learning center operations to effectively support school performance, operational excellence, and business growth.
  • Develop and communicate reports and insights on training performance, learner engagement, and key success metrics to support business and operational goals.
  • Monitor compliance with training requirements and certification standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve learner engagement, operational execution, and business results

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Associate’s Degree or bachelor’s degree in education, Talent Development, Organizational Psychology or Business Administration.
  • 2-5 years of experience in training, learning and development, center operations, field support, or corporate training.
  • Experience supporting both frontline and corporate populations preferred.
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate effective learning programs for diverse audiences.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Experience in childcare, education, franchise, retail, restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, or multi-unit operations preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic instructional design and curriculum development experience.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and performance consulting practices.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with operating partners, field leaders, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Experience with LMS platforms, virtual learning technologies, and content development tools.
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-50% to support onsite school locations, corporate initiatives, and training events.
