Job Description

The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that equip internal teams, Practice Consultants, Success Managers, and Virtual Staff (VAs) with the technical knowledge and systems proficiency required for successful client onboarding and long-term performance.

This role transforms technical onboarding processes into scalable learning systems, ensuring that teams can independently execute with confidence, compliance, and consistency. Acting as the bridge between technical operations and workforce capability, the L&D Specialist drives readiness from Day 1 through ongoing development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in any combination of:
    • Learning & Development / Training
    • Technical Support or Systems Implementation
    • Customer Success / Onboarding
  • Proven experience in training delivery, facilitation, or curriculum design (virtual training preferred)
  • Background in healthcare or other compliance-heavy industries
  • Experience working with remote teams or virtual staff is highly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of common business tools and platforms such as:
    • CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
    • Project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com)
    • Communication tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom)
    • Cloud-based systems and integrations
  • Ability to quickly learn and translate complex systems into simple, teachable processes
  • Experience in system setup, onboarding workflows, or implementation projects
  • Familiarity with process mapping, SOP creation, and workflow documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Design structured training programs and learning pathways
    • Develop engaging learning materials (SOPs, videos, guides, simulations)
    • Facilitate live training sessions and workshops
  • Experience with LMS platforms or training tools is a plus
  • Ability to assess learning effectiveness and adjust training based on performance data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, Success, Compliance)
  • Confident in facilitating discussions, leading sessions, and providing feedback
  • Familiarity with HIPAA or data privacy standards is a strong advantage
  • Experience supporting compliance audits or implementing process improvements based on audit findings
