NATURE OF DUTIES

  • A primary contact for Kenworth Chillicothe training, including curriculum design, development, tracking and facilitation of training for managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Training topics may range from: safety training, soft-skills, technical/truck systems, regulatory compliance/corporate compliance, and powered industrial vehicles (including the hands-on driving of these vehicles).
  • A primary Battery Electric Vehicle safety trainer (includes work with high voltage present with proper safeguards/ppe).
  • Data Entry and the keeping/tracking of training records plant-wide.
  • Graphics/Visual aid creation and video production/editing.
  • Partner with Local HR, Corporate Training, and PACCAR Trainer Network on organizational development initiatives such as performance management, first level supervisory training, compliance training and major leadership development programs.
  • Assist production departments as requested with training needs as identified by managers in department.
  • Coordinate and assist with pre-hire and new-hire training/testing.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors on-site for scheduled classes.
  • Assist withevent preparation and execution. Maintain media equipment needed to assist with training, meetings and special events. Maintain KW-TV Network system.
  • Work with other Kenworth Plants and Division to collaborate on common training needs, sharing resources when applicable.
  • Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Skills Required:

  • Two or more years of related experience strongly desired.
  • Prior trainer and facilitator experience helpful, preferably 2 or more years.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Able to interact well with all levels of the organization, from production employees to senior management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer and technology skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Able to navigate and adapt quickly to multiple changing priorities/deadlines/and task-types.
  • Comfortable working in both technical and soft-skills related realms.

Education/Training Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Must pass the following computer testing: Excel, PowerPoint, AND 25 WORDS PER MINUTE TYPING TESTS WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES.
