Job Description

About the Role

Our client ,a large insurance company, is seeking a Secure Coding & Training Operations Contractor to support the day-to-day operations of its Secure Coding and Developer Training Program. This individual will work closely with the Application Security team to ensure training assignments, developer engagement initiatives, reporting, documentation, and operational processes are executed efficiently and accurately. The role is heavily focused on program operations, reporting, communications, and coordination rather than hands-on security engineering, making it ideal for someone with a blend of cybersecurity awareness, reporting experience, and strong organizational skills.

This position will support the Security Champions Program and help drive secure coding awareness across the organization. The contractor will assist with training administration, compliance tracking, operational reporting, exception management, communications planning, and continuous improvement efforts while partnering with cybersecurity professionals and business stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

-Supporting the administration and day-to-day operations of the Secure Coding and Developer Training Program

-Coordinating training assignments, monthly micro-challenges, awareness campaigns, and developer engagement activities

-Creating and distributing training communications, reminders, notifications, and program updates

-Pulling reports and tracking training completion, compliance requirements, participation metrics, and program health indicators

-Reconciling data across multiple sources to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness

-Creating dashboards, management summaries, status reports, and operational metrics

-Tracking security training exceptions, following up on outstanding requests, and maintaining supporting documentation

-Maintaining program procedures, process documentation, knowledge articles, and operational records

-Partnering with stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and drive action items to completion

-Supporting PCI-related training tracking and compliance reporting activities

-Identifying process improvement opportunities and helping automate reporting processes where possible

What You'll Need

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams

-Experience supporting training programs, compliance initiatives, operational programs, or cybersecurity-related efforts

-Strong reporting and data analysis skills with the ability to validate, reconcile, and interpret data

-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, filtering, and reporting functions

-Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

-Strong documentation and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

-Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and recurring deliverables in a fast-paced environment

-Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, terminology, and security awareness initiatives

-Experience creating dashboards, reports, metrics, and management summaries

-Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the organization

Nice to Have

-Experience supporting cybersecurity, application security, secure development, risk, compliance, or governance programs

-Familiarity with Secure Code Warrior or similar developer training platforms

-Python experience, particularly for report automation and process improvement initiatives

-Experience with dashboard creation and operational metrics reporting

-Working knowledge of secure coding principles or application security concepts

-Cybersecurity certifications or related professional training

-Experience supporting large enterprise training, compliance, or awareness programs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
