HPC-Industrial powered by Clean Harbors is looking for a Training Manager to join their safety conscious team! Reporting to the Director, Training & Staffing, the Training Manager, Academy Operations is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and execution of training operations across multiple Training Academies throughout the United States.
This role ensures the consistent delivery of onboarding, regulatory, safety, equipment awareness, and competency-based training while maintaining high standards for instructor performance, training quality, learner experience, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) compliance, training records, document control, and operational readiness.
The Training Manager serves as the operational leader for Academy activities and is responsible for ensuring all locations operate as a unified training system. This includes oversight of Academy scheduling, instructor resources, classroom and practical training operations, equipment readiness, training documentation, learner throughput, and program quality.
A key responsibility of this role is ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee training records. The Training Manager will establish strong documentation practices, identify and correct record gaps, maintain appropriate document control measures, and ensure training records provide reliable evidence of employee training, qualifications, and competency.
The Training Manager will also support the continued development and modernization of training programs. This includes developing new programs, reviewing and improving existing content, cleaning up outdated or inconsistent materials, and leveraging AI and emerging technologies where appropriate to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of training development and administration.
Working closely with Program Managers, Operations, HSE, Workforce Planning, Recruitment, Subject Matter Experts, and field leadership, the Training Manager ensures training delivery aligns with workforce requirements, OH&S and regulatory requirements, competency standards, and organizational objectives.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring significant travel throughout the United States to support Academy operations, instructors, program implementation, audits, new Academy development, and operational requirements.
The role is critical to developing a scalable Academy model capable of supporting workforce growth, improving employee readiness, strengthening compliance, reducing operational risk, and advancing competency development throughout the organization.
