We are seeking an experienced Training Manager to provide overall training program leadership, scheduling, and quality oversight for a hospital-wide training program supporting go-live and ensuring sustained use of MEDITECH. The successful candidate will manage training for approximately 10,000 users, comprising of physician, nursing, ancillary, and administrative staff. The following responsibilities are:Program Planning & Coordination:Provide a roadmap for In-person Trainings, in line with the Master Project PlanDevelop and manage a comprehensive training plan and schedule for both super user training (~500 staff) and end-user training (~10,000 staff), aligned to the overall MEDITECH go-live timeline.Coordinate training schedules, venues, and materials for concurrent sessions across multiple departments and shifts.Monitor training completion, competency attainment, and readiness targets.Verify, in coordination with relevant programme and departmental leads, that all assigned trainers are appropriately designated subject matter experts with expert-level knowledge of the system, applicable workflows, and the content they will deliver. Ensure the trainer are fully prepared and knowledgeable on the content being trained on.Curriculum & Learning Management:Work with the AKU OneHealth implementation team, clinical informatics, and departmental subject matter experts to develop and adapt role-based training curriculum, workflows, and quick-reference materials.Maintain version control and training documentation. Ensure training content remains current with system configuration and workflows changes.Ensure training materials are culturally and linguistically appropriate for the local hospital staff.
Super User TrainingFacilitate and co-facilitate super user training sessions in partnership with the MEDITECH vendor training team and clinical/operational leadership.Ensure super users across physician, nursing, ancillary, and administrative groups are trained to a consistent standard and are equipped to train and support their peers.Establish sustainable support model for go-live and post-go-live stabilization.End-User Training & Competency Management:Provide oversight and quality assurance for end-user training delivered by super users, including reviewing training content, observing sessions, and coaching super users on facilitation skills.Define and monitor competency assessment standards and remediation plans.Identify and resolve gaps in training coverage, content, or delivery quality across departments.Track learner performance and address knowledge gaps.Review complete Technology-Enhanced Training (TET) completion data before in-person sessions, identify participants who have not met the required prerequisites, and share timely compliance and readiness reports with department heads and programme leadership.Ensure every in-person training session includes an appropriate knowledge and competency assessment mechanism to confirm that participants have understood the content and developed a reasonable level of confidence in using the system.Coordinate with departments to reschedule no-shows promptly and arrange targeted refresher or remedial sessions for users who require additional time or support to achieve the required competency.Environment & Logistics Management:Oversee setup and functionality of training environments (training domain, test patients/scenarios, hardware, connectivity) in coordination with IT.Ensure adequate training venues, equipment, and technical support are available for all sessions.Confirm that all session logistics are in place before delivery, including rooms, equipment, system access, training materials, attendance support, and the scheduling and in-room availability of supporting trainers.Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:Serve as the primary point of contact for training-related questions from department leadership, super users, and project leadership.Provide regular status reports on training progress, attendance, competency outcomes, and readiness risks to the project steering committee.Maintain clear training readiness dashboards covering trainer assignment and subject matter expert validation, TET prerequisite completion, attendance and no-shows, assessment outcomes, refresher requirements, and unresolved risks for department heads and programme leadership.Escalate scheduling conflicts, resourcing gaps, or quality concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have:Required:Master's degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Medical Education, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum 7+ years of experience in healthcare training, clinical informatics, or EHR implementation (MEDITECH, Epic, Cerner, or similar systems).Demonstrated experience planning and managing large-scale training programs (multiple hundreds to thousands of learners).Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and competency-based training methodologies, along with clinical and administrative hospital workflows.Excellent organizational, scheduling, and project management skills.Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to work across physician, nursing, ancillary, and administrative audiences.Certification in adult learning, instructional design, or project management (e.g., PMP, ATD, CPHIMS)Fluency in English and Urdu (spoken and written); familiarity with local dialects is a plus.Preferred:Prior experience with MEDITECHKnowledge of similar EHR training methodology (e.g., train-the-trainer / super user models).Experience training in a large hospital or multi-facility health system, ideally in Pakistan or the broader region.Key Competencies:Program and stakeholder management at scaleTrain-the-trainer facilitation and coachingQuality assurance and standardization across distributed training teamsProblem-solving under tight go-live timelinesCross-functional collaboration with clinical, IT, and operational leadershipWorking Conditions:On-site presence required at AKU throughout the training and go-live period.Some evening/weekend availability required to accommodate shift-based staff training.Extended hours expected during go-live and stabilization phases.Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted
