We’re seeking a Training Lead to join our Hospitality Training team at Crown Melbourne! Reporting to the Training Manager – Hospitality, you’ll lead the design and delivery of strategic training programs across our Hotel and Food & Beverage portfolios including new starter onboarding, service excellence, Front of House technical training and skill development.

Working closely with senior operational leaders, you’ll identify skill gaps and training needs, develop tailored learning solutions, and coach team members to elevate performance and guest experience. This hands-on role requires strong classroom facilitation skills, a compliance driven mindset, a passion for luxury service, and the ability to drive engagement across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage training initiatives across Food & Beverage and Hotel departments, including technical skills, systems and compliance training
  • Facilitate onboarding programs and deliver service training aligned with Crown’s Service Excellence framework
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify skill gaps and training needs to create tailored training programs
  • Partner with Department Head of and venue managers to identify skill gaps and tailor refresher training accordingly
  • Monitor training effectiveness, maintain materials, and produce reports to support business planning and continuous improvement
  • Champion guest experience through targeted training and development initiatives to support a positive team member experience
  • Maintain compliance training coverage, including responsible service of alcohol, food safety, and workplace health and safety

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in Learning & Development with a passion for guest experience and delivering service excellence.
  • A strong ability to design training materials and facilitate training with proven learning outcomes
  • Hands-on experience in a thriving hospitality operation across diverse hotel and food & beverage environments ideally in leadership roles
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and coach diverse teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple training programs and stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with business needs and learning outcomes
