YOUR ROLE
Are you passionate about developing people, building capability, and shaping a strong learning culture? We are looking for an Induction & Training Manager to play a pivotal role in how new colleagues are welcomed, trained, and supported across the business. Based in Ashby with regular site‑based travel, you will design and lead induction and training programmes that ensure colleagues and leaders are fully equipped to perform safely, efficiently, and in line with our strategic goals.
This role is ideal for a learning professional who thrives in complex operational environments, enjoys influencing at all levels, and is motivated by driving measurable improvements in performance, safety, and engagement.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
In this role, you will design and continuously improve a robust induction framework for all CL new starters, ensuring colleagues receive the right knowledge, skills, and welcome to succeed from day one, including agency and temp‑to‑perm transitions. Partner closely with BUDs, site leaders, HR and L&D to build a strong trainer network, deliver targeted learning programmes, and support new business implementations.
You will take ownership of tracking and reporting training activity, monitor quality and impact, lead training audits, and act as the training lead for transformations and implementations. You will also champion a strong learning culture, develop blended learning solutions and provide clear insight to senior leaders through reporting and analysis.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal candidate will be an experienced learning professional with significant experience designing, delivering, and managing training programmes, ideally within a logistics or operational environment. You will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the confidence to influence at all levels of the organisation.
While experience with digital learning tools such as Articulate 360 is desirable. You will be structured, data driven, proactive and have the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands on delivery in a fast moving business.
