Now Hiring: Training & Development Supervisor – Manhattan, NY
Full-Time | College Campus Environment | $34.55/hour | Start Date: July 1, 2026

We are seeking an experienced and motivated security professional for a Training & Development Supervisor position within a higher education environment in Manhattan. This blended leadership role combines training, field supervision, and operational oversight, making it ideal for candidates with strong leadership ability, campus security experience, and a passion for officer development.

The selected candidate will provide lead direction to Security Officers on assigned shifts while supporting the training and development initiatives of the account. This individual will help ensure compliance with post orders, client expectations, company policies, and campus safety standards while promoting a professional and service-oriented security team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide lead direction and field supervision to Security Officers on assigned shifts
  • Conduct field training, onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development for security personnel
  • Ensure all post orders, patrols, reporting requirements, and site procedures are properly followed
  • Support operational leadership in achieving training and development objectives
  • Maintain knowledge and application of Clery Act standards and campus security best practices
  • Conduct training needs assessments and assist in developing training schedules and programs
  • Deliver and coordinate various instructional methods including classroom, practical, and on-the-job training
  • Create and maintain training materials, manuals, assessments, and instructional resources
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate officers to maintain high standards of professionalism and performance
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll submissions, personnel documentation, and shift coverage coordination
  • Prepare incident reports, training documentation, statistical reports, and other required records
  • Inspect posts and meet with officers regularly to review responsibilities, expectations, and performance
  • Respond to incidents and emergency situations while ensuring proper notifications are made
  • Meet with client representatives and management to ensure all security and training expectations are being met
  • Assist with counseling, corrective action, and performance discussions as appropriate
  • Promote compliance with all company policies, client procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Prior supervisory, training, or leadership experience in security required
  • Experience working in a college, university, or campus environment strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Clery Act regulations preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to train, motivate, and develop security personnel
  • Valid NYS Security Guard License required
  • F-01/F-80 certifications preferred or ability to obtain
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
  • AHA-approved CPR/FA/AED trainer certification required
  • FDNY Fireguard trainer capability
