Job Description

HPC-Industrial powered by Clean Harbors is looking for a Training Coordinator to join their safety conscious team! The Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day training operations across multiple Training Academy locations and branch operations. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for training logistics, scheduling, documentation, records management, classroom administration, onboarding delivery, and external training providers to ensure a consistent and efficient training experience throughout the organization.

The position supports both academy-based and branch-based training activities by managing training schedules, coordinating resources, monitoring online learning completion, maintaining training records, delivering standardized onboarding programs, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company standards.

As the primary facilitator of the organization's Day 1 onboarding program, the Training Coordinator plays a critical role in introducing new employees to company culture, safety expectations, operational standards, and workforce readiness requirements. Working closely with Academy Operations, Program Managers, instructors, operational leadership, Human Resources, HSE, and external training providers, the role helps ensure employees are trained, documented, compliant, and prepared for successful deployment.

This position supports multiple locations and contributes to the standardization of training processes, systems, and documentation across North America.

  • Facilitate and deliver standardized Day 1 onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
  • Present company culture, safety expectations, operational standards, policies, and workforce requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees throughout the onboarding process.
  • Create a welcoming and engaging learning environment that supports employee integration and retention.
  • Coordinate onboarding documentation and ensure all required forms are completed accurately.
  • Identify and escalate employee readiness, attendance, or engagement concerns as appropriate.
  • Support the transition of employees from onboarding into technical, safety, and competency-based training pathways.

Education

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Training Administration, Adult Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in training coordination, onboarding, workforce administration, scheduling, or a related role.
  • Experience delivering classroom-based orientation or onboarding programs preferred.
  • Experience managing training records, compliance documentation, and learning management systems.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations or business units preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, LMS platforms, and training administration systems.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with employees, instructors, operational leaders, and external partners.
