Job Description

Hours: 8AM to 4PM

Pay Rate: $30 per Hour

Position Summary:

The Onboarding Training Coordinator is responsible for managing and delivering all orientation, onboarding, compliance, and leadership training programs. This role ensures a seamless transition for new hires, aligns training initiatives with company standards, and provides support for HR-driven development programs. The Onboarding Training Coordinator collaborates with the Operations Training Manager and other stakeholders to maintain flexibility in supporting operational training needs as required. This position reports to the HR Director.

Key Responsibilities

Orientation and Onboarding:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Ensure all new hires are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and resources to succeed in their roles.
  • Maintain consistency and quality in onboarding experiences across all departments.

Compliance Training:

  • Coordinate and deliver mandatory compliance training programs, including safety, harassment prevention, and company policy training.
  • Monitor training completion and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions and participant completions.

Leadership Development:

  • Assist the HR department in coordination of ongoing Leadership trainings

Collaboration with Operations Training:

  • Provide support to the Operations Training Manager during periods of high demand or for cross-functional training initiatives.
  • Act as a resource for operations training efforts as capacity allows.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Solicit feedback from new hires and supervisors to enhance onboarding and training programs.
  • Stay updated on best practices in onboarding, compliance, and leadership development.
  • Implement changes to ensure training programs remain relevant and effective.

Administrative Duties:

  • Track, document, and report training completion and effectiveness metrics.
  • Prepare and distribute training materials and schedules.
  • Ensure training resources are updated and accessible to all participants.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in training, onboarding, or HR support roles.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Proficient in using training management systems and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles or operational training programs.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role with occasional travel to the shop floor or other facilities to support training activities.
  • May require flexible hours to accommodate training schedules across shifts.

Performance Metrics

  • Onboarding completion rates and new hire retention metrics.
  • Compliance training completion and audit results.
  • Feedback from new hires and leadership on training effectiveness.
  • Successful implementation of training and development initiatives.

Hours: 6AM to 7PM

Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business

Pay Rate: $29 Per Hour

POSITION SUMMARY

The Blending Lead, under the direction of the Blending Supervisor, will be responsible for leading Blending associates through the following of blending procedures according to Standard Operating Procedures. The incumbent will display a commitment to Core Values.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Able to communicate professionally and effectively with both internal and external team members
  • Can prioritize effectively ensuring safety and production goals are met
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Blending and Grinding Operators
  • Maintains and monitor material supplies in silos using computerized blending programs
  • Communicate with production staff to meet plant's blending needs, allowing for production lines to make quality product and meet customer demands
  • Direct rail car unloading and able to fill-in when necessary
  • Complete inventory counts of bags/boxes of material/regrind and complete necessary reports
  • Conduct moisture checks on wood dryers and pellet dryers as requested
  • Direct loading of all supporting bag stations and able to fill-in when necessary
  • Assist Blending Supervisor with employee performance reviews
  • Complete the yard truck training, direct truck house operator and able to fill-in when necessary
  • Direct pellet mill operators, and able to fill-in when necessary
  • Monitor all blend systems on dedicated HMI, responding to alarms and troubleshooting systems working with the blend maintenance team to prevent material runouts to production lines
  • Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus

Experience

  • One to three years in a similar position

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills to include:

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Forklift Certification

Other Requirements:

  • Meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech"s Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program
  • Experience with mechanical equipment (rotary air locks, diverter valves, Mac valves and knife gates), a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
