Training Coordinator
Location: Distribution Center
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday (Flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends as business needs require)
Join a high-performing team at one of the region's largest 1 million-square-foot distribution centers We are looking for an experienced Training Coordinator to lead employee onboarding, training, and development in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
In this role, you will help build a skilled workforce by coordinating training programs for new hires and current employees, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting operational excellence. You will work closely with Operations, Safety, Human Resources, and department leaders to develop training that improves productivity, quality, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding for large hiring classes.
- Deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training for warehouse associates, equipment operators, and support staff.
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Schedule and coordinate training across multiple departments and shifts to support operational needs.
- Maintain accurate employee training records and ensure compliance with all required training.
- Evaluate employee performance during training and provide coaching and feedback to support successful onboarding.
- Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps, recommend development plans, and support cross-training initiatives.
- Monitor training effectiveness using performance metrics, audits, and employee feedback, making continuous improvements to training programs.
- Support the implementation of new processes, equipment, technology, and operational changes by developing and delivering training.
- Prepare reports on training completion, compliance, and employee development for leadership.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all employees understand and follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and operational procedures.
- Serve as a training resource for supervisors and managers while helping maintain consistent training standards throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, learning and development, warehouse operations, or logistics leadership.
- Experience training employees in a large distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or fulfillment environment.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and effective instructional techniques.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Experience developing training materials, presentations, and job aids.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), SAP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze training data and make recommendations that improve employee performance.
- Leadership experience and the ability to influence employees at all levels of the organization.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
