Forensicare (Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health) is Victoria’s specialist provider of forensic mental health services. We deliver recovery-focused programs that support consumers living with serious mental illness or problematic behaviours who are connected to, or at risk of contact with, the justice system, across a variety of settings including community-based services, inpatient units, and secure environments throughout Victoria.

About the Role:
The Training Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the effective planning, delivery, and monitoring of clinical training programs across Forensicare. Acting as a central administrative resource, this role ensures training activities are well-organised, efficiently executed, and aligned with organisational priorities, compliance obligations, and accreditation requirements across hospital, custodial, and community settings.

Working closely with key stakeholders, the Training Coordinator oversees the administrative coordination of workforce training programs, including scheduling, logistics, communication, and records management. This includes supporting the delivery of key programs such as Prevention and Management of Aggression Training, ensuring all activities are carried out within established processes and frameworks.

The role is instrumental in maintaining high standards of organisational accountability and service quality. By ensuring training activities are accurately documented, consistently communicated, and effectively reported, the Training Coordinator contributes to safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across diverse operational environments.

Duties:
• Coordinate end-to-end administration of training programs, including scheduling, calendars, and logistics
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and compliance documentation to support audits and reporting
• Act as a key liaison between facilitators, managers, and operational teams to ensure smooth delivery of training
• Monitor training participation and compliance, preparing reports to support workforce planning and improvement
• Manage training materials and communications, ensuring accessibility, accuracy, and timely updates for stakeholders
• Identify and resolve scheduling or logistical issues, providing high-quality administrative support and driving process improvements

About You:
• Proven experience providing high-quality administrative and coordination support in a structured environment. Experience in health care settings is highly desirable but not essential
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems, with strong attention to detail and accurate record management
