Job Description


The Training Coordinator will conduct training programs to facilitate employee development; coordinate training programs with trainees and operations; provide feedback for the adaptation and/or further development of training materials for presentation; prepare and schedule room for training programs; prepare training materials; maintain training reference library. Enters all training conducted into the ABM University Learning Management System (LMS), files all rosters, and ensures compliance with all training for assigned areas of responsibility. This includes LMS and personnel training file compliance.

Payrate: 22.00

  • Conduct training programs as designed to facilitate employee development; determine training needs; determine most effective instructional method; select or develop teaching aids; ensure training environment is conducive to learning; conduct training session.
  • Utilize all training resources as appropriate for assessing training effectiveness; utilize evaluation tool; adjust training methods, delivery, and aids in accordance with effectiveness measure results while still adhering to training programs delivery requirements.
  • Facilitate training programs with other trainees; coordinate facility availability with operations leadership and client availability; ensure that all needed audio-visual equipment is available and set up for training programs.
  • Prepare fliers, handouts, and other materials to promote training classes, prepare training materials for use in facilitating comprehension and training retention.
  • Prepare the classroom environment for training including setting up audio-visual equipment, removing unneeded materials from the classroom, setting up materials for use during the program, removing all materials and equipment after training has concluded, and ensuring the facility is left in proper order.
  • Maintain records on training program attendance, programs offered and utilization levels including but not limited to training rosters; maintain records on training evaluation measures.
  • Maintain station training reference library; maintain usage records; maintain inventory of library;
  • Ensure that employees are aware of materials available for their use
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Principles and practices of adult education
  • Interpret and apply pertinent federal, state and local laws, cods and regulations, particularly those applicable to personnel management and training.
  • Computer software packages.
  • Principles and practice of effective training development, implementation, presentation and measurement.
  • Training audio-visual needs and uses.
  • Coordination of rooms, refreshment, and materials needed for smooth and effective production of training programs.
  • Operating various types of office equipment including computers, photocopiers and fax machines.
  • Effectively respond to employee inquiries concerning programs offered and problems encountered in attendance or materials offered.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Organize work for timely completion.
  • Prepare training information for distribution.
  • Facilitate training programs.
  • Perform work independent of close supervision.
  • Effectively prepare and present training for all employee populations.
  • Effectively communicate a variety of topics to a diverse audience.
  • Effectively use audio-visual aids in training communication.
  • Develop training and presentations.
  • Organize training materials and equipment for seminars.
  • Assist senior leaders in the preparation and coordination of any training or seminars as assigned

Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals and handbooks.
  • Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients customers and the general public.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

General Company Requirements:

  • Employee must comply with the Company’s uniform and grooming standards and must wear his or her SIDA badge/Airport ID at all times.

Education:



College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

License and Certificate:

Possession of valid state driver’s license. (Required for all driver training instructors)

Experience:

At least 6 months of experience providing group training to a variety of employee populations.

Overall:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must submit to and pass a drug screen.

Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal, including the successful completion of a background check and ten- year work history.
