YOUR ROLE

CEVA Logistics has been awarded a major new contract with a high-profile client, marking an exciting phase of growth for the business expanding on our ecommerce offering. This is a new build implementation offering exciting opportunities across contract logistics. As a result, we are looking for a Training Coordinator to support in the delivery, coordination and control of all training activities on shift at our new Derby site.

In this role you will report into the Training Manager and work closely with operations, ensuring colleagues are onboarded, trained, assessed and compliant following company, client and statutory requirements. You will play a key part in maintaining training standards, skills coverage, safety compliance and operational readiness on your assigned shift.

This is a hands-on, onsite role suited to someone confident in working in a fast-paced, operational environment. We currently have two shifts available; however, flexibility will be required:

  • Sunday to Thursday, 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30am-5:30pm

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the on-site Training Manager, you will take key responsibilities for the:

  • Coordinate and deliver shift-based onboarding and inductions for new starters, including agency colleagues
  • Ensure mandatory training, assessments and sign‑offs are completed prior to operational deployment
  • Act as the first point of contact for new starters during their initial training period
  • Organise and schedule training activity in line with operational requirements and labour plans
  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications and attendance logs
  • Update and control skills matrices to ensure visibility of trained and competent colleagues
  • Coordinate cross‑training activity to support labour flexibility and skills coverage
  • Highlight skills gaps, compliance risks or training issues to operations and the Training Manager
  • Deliver and support training against approved work instructions and standard work
  • Reinforce correct process adherence across the operation in partnership with operational teams
  • Coordinate MHE training activity on shift and support certification compliance tracking in conjunction with on-site MHE trainers
  • Monitor training completion and basic performance of agency colleagues
  • Support audit readiness by preparing training evidence for internal and customer audits
  • Escalate any non‑compliance or expired training risks promptly and professionally to senior management.
  • Support the Training Manager with any additional tasks as and when required

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application you will have experience of working in a warehousing or operational environment, with proven experience of supporting and delivering operational training and onboarding. You will have a strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate training records and data and comfortable working to standards, compliance requirements and audit expectations.

It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator confident in engaging with operational teams and comfortable facilitating training to diverse internal groups and new starters. You will be a problem solver, someone who is well organised and able to manage multiple priorities across a live operational environment.

Desirable skills:

  • Proven experience of working in an ecommerce environment
  • Hold a qualification or certification in training, coaching or learning support
  • Exposure to MHE, compliance or safety critical training environments
  • Familiar with skills matrices, training trackers or learning management systems
  • Experienced in supporting agency labour and onboarding volumes
