Job Description

TCC is currently seeking a Training Assistant to support the effective delivery and administration of our training programs. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of online, in-class, and practical training activities. This position is ideal if you are an organized, detail-oriented professional with strong customer service skills and an interest in training administration and education operations.

Training Coordination and Scheduling

  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for all training programs, including classroom, online and first aid.
  • Work closely with Certified Driver Trainers, students, and internal staff to ensure training runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist with practical and simulator scheduling.

Student and Client Support

  • Respond to phone and email inquiries related to training programs, schedules, and logistics.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track student documentation, tests, books, records, and communications.
  • Support student onboarding and orientation activities.

Corporate Training

  • Coordinate corporate training and maintain related records.
  • Assist with administering corporate evaluation processes.
  • Support relationships with carrier partners and employers.

Events and Engagement

  • Schedule and coordinate monthly carrier job fairs.
  • Support internal events, student recognition activities, and celebrations.
  • Manage the TCC uniform program, including ordering, distribution, and inventory tracking.
  • Book hotels and travel arrangements for TCC staff.

Administrative and Compliance Support

  • Answer incoming phone calls politely.
  • Maintain accurate training records in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of training administration processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and internal systems to manage data and reporting.
  • Track and maintain offices supplies.
  • Travel to local services (Service New Brunswick, Canada Post, UTT, etc) to pick up and deliver documentation and books.
  • Support accounting with accounts receivables and payables.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience; experience in training or education administration is a strong asset.
  • Completion of post-secondary education.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with learning management systems is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional and responsive customer service approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving ability, and discretion with confidential information.
