We have an opportunity available for aDefence Training Area Range Operator to join our Defence division. This will be offered as a permanent full-time position based at Murray Bridge Training Area, SA.

About the role
You will ensure the readiness and functionality of Defence Training Areas.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating contractor tasks for the Training Area Range (e.g. land care, cleaning, waste, estate upkeep).
Planning, deploying, testing and recovering live fire targets with Defence Units.
Managing TAR gates/flags per approved firing schedules.
Building and repairing targets using Defence supplies.
Conducting non-technical inspections and supporting contractor technical checks.
Maintaining TAR readiness (e.g. weed control, facility upkeep).
Operating DART, MTR, SMR & new target systems.
Managing inventory, stock control & storage.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Experience in planning, placing, testing and recovering range live fire target equipment would be highly desirable.
Ability to operate and maintain various target systems such as DART, MTR, and SMR.
Experience in inventory control, stock management, and storage maintenance.
Range Officer Accreditation or relevant safety training would be highly regarded.
Previous experience in the ADF or Defence industry would be highly regarded.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
