We are currently hiring a full-time Training and Staff Development Coordinator for our Harmar location. This is a full-time position under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources. The Training and Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that newly hired employees are properly onboarded with Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services (PMHFOS) and receive a comprehensive and interactive orientation training program which meets applicable regulations and PMHFOS standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRAINING AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR:

  • Coordinate with the PMHFOS recruitment and onboarding team to obtain a status of newly onboarded candidates and their expected start date for orientation
  • Ensure that all onboarding activities are completed for all new hires per regulations prior to starting orientation
  • Ensure that all associated onboarding paperwork is appropriately filed into the employee’s personnel file and that new employees are entered into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Coordinate and outreach to all expected candidates to ensure that they are prepared to participate in orientation
  • Manage the assignment and oversee regulatory compliance of all new hire training.
  • Complete I-9 Forms, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files
  • Conduct and oversee orientation training, ensuring that all candidates participate in a comprehensive and interactive orientation training program
  • Utilize a variety of methods to administer orientation training including in-person training, virtual, video training, and on-line training using the Relias Online Learning Management System
  • Conduct CPR/First Aid training
  • Communicate and organize on-the-job training activities with program management
  • Enter necessary data associated with training into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Monitor staff training for regulatory compliance
  • Assist in the development and revision of policies and procedures pertaining to training and staff development
  • Assist with the review of personnel files for licensing inspections
  • Other duties as required and assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRAINING AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR:

  • Valid PA Driver’s license, required.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age, required.
  • Associate Degree or higher, required.
  • Experience in Human Resources, required.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office, specifically utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, required.
  • Experience with public speaking and/or teaching, highly preferred.
  • Experience using the Relias Online Learning Management System for training administration, preferred
  • Certified as a CPR/First Aid Instructor, preferred
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Disabilities/Mental Health field, preferred
