About the team

The Learning & Development team is dedicated to helping Becklar employees build the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. This team partners closely with operations leaders to ensure employees receive high-quality training that supports performance, engagement, and professional growth.

The Training & Instructional Design Specialist plays a key role in preparing new Monitoring Center team members for success while also helping design engaging learning experiences that support ongoing development across the organization. This hybrid role blends classroom facilitation with instructional design and is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys both teaching and creating learning content.

What you’ll do

• Teach onboarding courses to new Monitoring Center team members and facilitate engaging classroom experiences
• Lead interactive activities, role plays, and discussions that reinforce learning and skill development
• Break down complex procedures into clear and understandable steps for new employees
• Evaluate learner understanding and adjust facilitation methods as needed
• Model and promote Becklar’s culture and core values during training programs
• Support trainee progress, assessments, and graduation readiness
• Conduct follow-up audits and coaching conversations to reinforce training outcomes
• Design and update eLearning modules, job aids, and facilitator guides
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop new training materials and learning experiences
• Assist with training needs analysis and improvement initiatives
• Create interactive and visually engaging learning content
• Maintain and organize training resources and documentation
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to programs and materials
• Communicate progress, updates, and opportunities for improvement to stakeholders as appropriate

What you’ll need

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field OR 1–2 years of experience in training, facilitation, teaching, or content development
• Comfort speaking in front of groups and facilitating discussions
• Strong written communication skills
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to explain complex topics in a clear and engaging way
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Interest in adult learning and professional development
• Experience with learning design tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Canva, PowerPoint, or similar software is a plus
• Consistent track record of meeting performance expectations
• Commitment to maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
