Join a skilled, agile and multidisciplinary team working to strengthen community awareness and understanding of violent extremism and the support available to individuals, families and communities.
As the Training and Capability Analyst, you will develop, coordinate and evaluate training and capability programs that support the promotion of the Step Together Helpline and the Engagement and Support Program. The role sits within the Countering Violent Extremism Engagement and Support Unit in the Interventions and Innovation Branch.
You will create practical, engaging and evidence-based learning content for a range of audiences, including members of the public, community organisations, partner agencies, stakeholders and frontline industry workers. Your work will help people understand concepts relating to violent extremism, disengagement and the support services available.
In this role you will:
ESU is a skilled and highly agile multi-disciplinary team. You will enjoy engaging in ongoing professional development within an emerging space, actively contributing to the continued development of the training analyst role and communications approach within the Engagement and Support Unit.
In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, we are looking for a motivated education or training professional with demonstrated experience developing and delivering effective learning content and resources.
You will be an analytical and curious communicator who can translate complex or sensitive information into clear, engaging and evidence-based material. You will understand how to tailor learning approaches and content for diverse audiences, including community members, government agencies and frontline workers.

The role operates with a level of autonomy in setting priorities, developing approaches and providing evidence-based advice and recommendations. Sensitive, high-risk or business-critical matters are escalated to the manager or senior staff as appropriate.
