About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Field Trainer (Opencut or Dual Trained) to join our team and play a key role in developing the capability, confidence, and safety of our frontline workforce.

Based out of Perth, this role supports operations across West Metals, with applications also welcomed from candidates located in other business area’s. Working an attractive 8 days on, 6 days off roster, you'll travel to a range of Opencut mining operations, delivering impactful training programs and helping ensure our people have the skills to perform safely and effectively.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Opencut or Dual Trained professional who enjoys coaching others, sharing knowledge, and making a genuine difference in the field.

What you will be doing

• Managing the site based components of Orica's training obligations & policies which may include Registered Training Organization(RTO) compliances:
• Conducting group, classroom and 1-on-1 training sessions with a range of stakeholders, both client and Orica;
• Ensuring training is completed in line with National Standards, operational safety and group standards governance;
• Clearly communicating training plans and schedules with Orica Site Managers to cascade to Orica employees;
• Regularly updating relevant compliance reporting databases and spreadsheets;
• Continually auditing employee training plans to ensure they comply with minimum standards.

What you will bring

• Safety will be your number one priority, always;
• Certificate IV in training/ assessment is desirable
• 5+ years experience training in Opencut and operational experience ;
• An energetic, engaging & positive personality with clear verbal and written communication;
• Knowledge of Orica operations, plant, machinery, products and services is advantageous;
• Experience of working in field support environment;
• A heavy rigid driving license;
• Willingness to regularly travel, often to remote or internal locations.
